Calling out to all activists and legal observers – about the Dale Farm eviction this week!

The eviction at Dale Farm is set to start on Monday 19th September at the very beginning of World Zero Evictions Days – World Habitat Days!

We are calling on supporters to come and help them stop the eviction or act as human rights monitors. Some of us will be engaging in civil disobedience to prevent homes from being bulldozed.

The eviction, estimated to cost 19.2 million pounds, would involve  smashing chalets and mobile-homes, and physically forcing up to 90 families, including children, the elderly and infirm, to leave the district, impoverished and with nowhere legally to live.

Please forward this around your networks ASAP thanks!

Today, we are witnessing the beginning of a new solidarity movement, with settled people standing up with Gypsies, Travellers and Roma to help fight for their rights. What’s happening to at Dale Farm will never happen again. Monday 19th, the Basildon Council will try to bulldoze Dale Farm and we strongly recommend getting here ahead of the eviction as it is likely to start at 8 am.  We will also need people to come up throughout the week of the eviction.

If you can’t make it you can support in another way, we are in desperate need of funds. Please donate!

Dale farm residents are calling on supporters to come to Dale Farm to help them stop the eviction or act as human rights monitors.

Activists are supporting the Travellers in defending their homes and community.  There’s many different ways of getting involved – we need medics, legal observers, site defenders, cooks, etc.. More people are needed on all fronts.
