Arrestation de trente activistes du droit au logement à Budapest
Le 19 janvier 2013, des activistes sans logis et leurs partisans ont squatté un immeuble inoccupé dans le 7e
arrondissement de Budapest. Les squatteurs ont réclamé l’institutionnalisation d’un droit au logement et d’un système compréhensif de logement social au lieu de mesures punitives et de refuges surpeuplés. Les activistes ont été arrêtés et sont maintenant accusés de délit mineur pour avoir désobéi aux ordres de la police.
L’AIH lance un appel à la solidarité internationale.

UK, Travellers celebrate the first approved planning for a traveller site by Basildon Council
Basildon Borough Council’s planning committee finally passed a planning application for 15 pitches to accommodate some of the most vulnerable homeless Gypsy and Traveller families in Basildon. This is a small step towards meeting the needs of local Travellers by approving plans for culturally suitable accommodation rather than wasting more taxpayers money on forced evictions.

Germany: Tenants protest against financial investors in front of NRW parliament
Members of the parliament and tenants organizers showed up and supported the tenant’s demands
In the morning of last Friday, October 26th, about 50 tenants, delegates from various neighborhoods and towns in the Rhine-Ruhr-area, gathered in front of the state parliament of North-Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) in Dusseldorf, Germany. The mostly elderly persons showed posters with crossed-out locusts and the slogan “Stop financial investors! Save our neighborhoods!”

La marche des réquisitions de samedi 27 octobre, s’est conclue avec la rencontre d'une delegation lors de laquelle la ministre du logement Cécile Duflot a indiqué son accord sur le principe de réquisitionner des logements vacants, qu’il n’y aurait plus d’expulsion de prioritaires DALO, ainsi que de son souhait à terme d’insérer le Droit au logement dans la Constitution, toutes revendications des mouvements sociaux du logement.
