Succès de la Journée mondiale de la mobilization 2008
Ul'yanovsk:
The action is being organized by the "independent student trade union" of Ul'yanovsk state university.
Themes of the action: the problem of forced military service and the problem of the low quality of training (set of the components: the low wage of teachers, the poor state of libraries and multimedia libraries, the idleness of official trade union organizations, the poor organization of the training process, application of the Bologna agreement, problem with the realization of law "about autonomous establishments" and so on and forth, including many others). The Chechen republic
On 26 January organization "will save generation" (leader Zarem Sadulayeva) carries out the collection of signatures under a petition to Deputies of the State Duma RF about the adoption of law on the inhabitants of the Chechen republic, who became invalids at the childhood as a result of military actions.
Such people in republic are thousands. Now they are in an extremely difficult situation. Pension from 1000 to 3000 rubles is not capable of ensuring them worthy life. Children are deprived of the possibility to attend school because the schools don’t provide conditions for this. Invalids cannot find work, they cannot independently make purchases, even visit of polyclinic is for them a serious problem. For many the mine-explosive or fragmentation injury, obtained in the childhood, deprived them from future.
No compensations in respect of an accident, in contrast to the victims of terrorist acts, these invalids obtain. They do not obtain those privileges, which have soldiers, who received injuries in the course of military actions. They are placed in the category of the invalids of childhood or invalids on the general disease.
Only State Duma RF can change law about the invalids, so that the state would take upon itself responsibility and would appear to be really concern by the innocent victims of war.
Action will take place at the office of the committee of young people CHR. Will attend approximately hundred people. At this meeting the text will be signed by those being present and it will then pass further collection of signatures.

1. Jan. 22, 2008. Eretz Crossing to Gaza, from early morning until noon: Convey coming from from '48 Palestine (Israel) to Gaza via Eretz bringing humanitarian aid to those suffering under the current siege. Electricity and fuel have been cut off from the people of Gaza, and 800,000 people do not have adequate heat or water in their homes. A protest will also be staged at Eretz Crossing following the arrival of the convoy.

3. Jan. 25, 2008. Beit Ur, after prayer: Protesters will try to block road n. 443, one of the roads accessible only to Israelis. This road is part of the larger system of discriminatory practices that have led to the destruction of a huge number of Palestinian lands and homes.

Jornada de divulgacion global de la problematica habitacional en Ushuaia.
Se realizara en la plaza de los artesanos ubicada en el ingreso al puerto de ushuaia. El dia 26 de enero arriba al puerto el crucero Infinity (1950 pasajeros). La propuesta sera divulgar mediante folletos y pancartas, titeres, musica, con videos y fotos mostrando :
como viven los excluidos en este lado del mundo.

El foro temático sobre defensa y promoción de los servicios públicos tiene los siguientes objetivos:
• Establecer un debate entre las autoridades locales y representantes de los movimientos sociales, en torno a las políticas públicas de prestación de servicios públicos, que requieren actuaciones positivas que se enfrenten a las lógicas, meramente económicas, del mercado, con el fin de contribuir a la consecución de un verdadero desarrollo humano sostenible.
• Estimular el pensamiento crítico y el debate público en torno a la pobreza, las desigualdades y la exclusión social, así como la generación de propuestas y acciones más efectivas de organizaciones de la sociedad civil y de los gobiernos locales, para concretar el ejercicio pleno de los derechos humanos en las ciudades

Bolivia, al igual que otros países, celebrará el Día de Movilización y Acción Global este sábado 26 de enero, mostrando el avance de la constitucionalización del Derecho Humano a la Vivienda, a través de una caravana ciclística en la ciudad de Cochabamba, que partirá a las 9:30 a.m. de la Av. Ayacucho esq. Av. Aroma, haciendo su recorrido hacia la Plazuela de las Banderas, El Prado, calle 25 de Mayo, culminando en una concentración en la Plaza Principal donde se realizará un pronunciamiento sobre el Foro Social Mundial.
Así mismo, en la ciudad de La Paz, Red Hábitat junto a Fundaprovi, realizará la Feria de sensibilización y muestra de iniciativas por “otro mundo es posible”, de horas 9:00 a 16:00 p.m. en la Plaza Avaroa.

“Derecho a la Vivienda y la Tierra en Villa Venecia, en el País y el Mundo”
DÍA 24: Apoyo a la Jornada de Denuncia e Información de Villa Venecia de Pantoja desalojada el 01 de diciembre del 2007, frente a la decisión del Consejo Estatal del Azucar (CEA) de entregar la tierra a la Inmobiliaria propiedad de Mélido Marte y bajo el patrocinio de altos funcionarios civiles y militares del gobierno central.
DÍA 25: 10:00 A.M. Participar en la Visita organizada por el Foro Social Alternativo y la Red Urbano Popular a la ONU en protesta contra la intervención de la MINUSTHA en Haití, la promoción de los agrocombustibles y en demanda de una mayor acción para que los gobiernos cumplan con el Pacto Internacional de los Derechos Económicos, Sociales y Culturales, PIDESC, las observaciones del comité de la ONU, entre otras, sobre el derecho a la vivienda y para que se elimine la práctica de los desalojos forzosos.
Apoyo a la vigilia permanente que se realizará en los terrenos donde fue desalojado el barrio Villa Venecia de Pantojas.
5:00 P.M. El Encuentro organizado por el Movimiento Popular Cristiano Oscar Arnulfo Romero, MOPAR, con la Campaña Cero Desalojos en el sector de Hainamosa, Santo Domingo Este.
